On 14 April 2026, the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government published the "Panel List of Hong Kong Legal Services Providers Supporting ‘Go Global’" (the "Panel"). South China International Arbitration Center (Hong Kong) (SCIAHK) was invited by the Department of Justice to join the Panel as a Hong Kong arbitration institution.
The Panel aims to support Chinese Mainland enterprises in their “Go Global” strategies and provide them with comprehensive and incisive information on the features of Hong Kong’s legal and other professional services providers, including their specialised practice areas and professional strengths. The Panel List covers more than 70 legal services providers including local and registered foreign law firms, practicing barristers and international arbitration institutions exhibiting the strengths of Hong Kong as an international legal hub from cross-border market entry, financing, compliance and regulatory to disputes resolution, covering the full business life cycle. Through browsing the Panel, companies can find out the strengths of each service provider in their area of expertise. All service providers on the Panel have proven track records in their respective fields of expertise related to going global, and are categorized into 12 major professional areas to comprehensively cover the legal needs of enterprises throughout their entire overseas lifecycle, providing full-process professional support.
As the first independent arbitration institution established in Hong Kong by a Mainland arbitration institution, SCIAHK is service-oriented and provides impartial, efficient and flexible arbitration, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution solutions for parties from different jurisdictions since 2019.
