On 26 May 2023, the South China International Arbitration Center HK (SCIAHK) and the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) held a roadshow on arbitration rules in Paris, illustrating and promoting the Arbitration Rules of SCIAHK and the Arbitration Rules of SCIA to arbitrator and business representatives from Europe as well as the latest developments of international arbitration in China, in particularly, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through promoting the adoption of international arbitration in resolving commercial disputes between China and Europe, this roadshow aims at stimulating high-quality development of China-EU economic and trade cooperation. Representatives of enterprises and arbitrators who participated in the on-site event conducted in-depth exchanges on the innovation and development of the international commercial dispute resolution mechanism.
During the visit to France on 27 and 28 May 2023, SCIAHK joined the delegation led by Dr. YUAN Gujie, President of the Guangdong Province Law Society, and visited companies such as CGN Europe Energy Co., Limited (CGNEE), Huawei France, and others which China has invested in Europe. The delegation also visited the Airbus, a French company that have investment and trade relations with China. While meeting the representative of the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Chinese overseas Chinese in Europe, protecting legitimate rights and interests within companies of the two countries through international arbitration and other means are also encouraged.
LU Shaye, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to France, and DONG Guangli, Consul General in Marseille, met the delegation in Paris and Marseille respectively.
