On 1 June 2023, Mr. TAN Jian, a Chinese Ambassador in the Netherlands, met with the delegation led by Dr. YUAN Gujie, President of the Guangdong Law Society in the Hague to discuss their views on the construction of foreign-related rule of law and the development of international arbitration and cooperation with relevant international organizations.
The Hague is the political center of the Netherlands, which is where the central government, parliament and foreign embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands are located. Also, many international organizations, such as the International Court of Justice, The Hague Conference on International Private Law, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the European Patent Office, etc., are located at The Hague.
Mr. ZHANG Qinghong, Vice President of Guangdong Law Society; Mr. SUN Taiping, President of Guangzhou Law Society; Dr. LIU Xiaochun, Executive Chairman of South China International Arbitration Center (Hong Kong) and President of Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration attended the discussion.
